Thanks to the efforts of our grade four students the fourth grade lunch period is about to become a more eco-friendly environment. In recent weeks the fourth grade Bobcats have started two green initiatives, composting and water bottle recycling. During the fourth grade lunch students will be collecting fruits and vegetables that would normally be thrown away. These items will then be brought to our compost bins in the Living Lab. There is an increase in the number of water bottles being thrown away instead of being recycled at lunch. The recycling push is aimed at curbing this problem. Both green initiatives were created and championed by 4th grade students who recognized a need in our community and worked hard to fill that need.
